Ratio of the Product of Weibull and Gamma Random Variables for Modelling Fading Environment

Edis MEKIĆ

In the presented paper, effects on the envelope of signal in fading environment are modeled as exact probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) of the ratio of product of two independent stable Weibull random variables and Gamma random variables. Those functions are derived in terms of the Meier-G function. Especially important value for the systems analysis modeled by those ratios of products is CDF. CDF are reliable model for calculation of system failure. Simple simulation routine in Mathematica software has been developed for the evaluation delivered PDF and CDF in term of Meier-G function. Simulation complete numerical experiments to show the accuracy and correctness of the expressions hereby deduced.

Hybrid Power Energy Source Based On Pem Fuel Cell/Solar System

Aleksandar STJEPANOVIĆ, Mirko STOJČIĆ, Saldjana STJEPANOVIĆ

The paper presents an overview of existing technologies by presenting the idea of using a system based on fuel cells and solar systems as an energy source. Fuel cells have the ability to reverse actions. The process of electrolysis is used to produce hydrogen and the reverse process, the chemical reaction of hydrogen and oxygen made the production of electricity. To produce electricity to be used in the process of electrolysis can use solar module and thus achieve full use of alternative renewable energy as energy source.

Djuradj BUDIMIR, Nataša BANOVIĆ-ĆURGUZ, Dijana ILIŠEVIĆ, Radana GAVRIĆ

This paper presents the progress standardization activities on 5G wireless technology in telecommunication sector. Some of the 5G candidate frequency bands below 6 GHz (Sub-6 GHz) and above 6 GHz (mmWave) are illustrated. Simulated output power spectra of the power amplifier for 5 MHz FBMC waveform and input power level of 0 dBm is shown.

Evolving IP/MPLS network in order to meet 5G requirements

Irena ŠEREMET, Samir ČAUŠEVIĆ

5G will bring many new services and demands enabling advances in Internet of Things, Smart Cities, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Self-driving cars etc. To enable all these use cases, several changes in RAN, network IP core and user end devices will be applied. This paper is focused on IP packet data networking in core and directions of development in order to meet 5G requirements. IP/MPLS network, as a core network in ISP networks, will have to adapt and adopt new technologies. This paper presents a short overview of 5G networks and how new technologies such as SDN, NFV, SD-WAN and Network Slicing will impact and change IP/MPLS network.
