The appearance of malignant or benign changes in the distal and proximal part or destruction of the bone mass of the upper arm is repaired in modern medicine by surgical removal of damaged bone tissue and implantation of an endoprosthesis: “total humerus”. The method ensures the elimination of pain and the preservation of the diseased extremity functionally and aesthetically. Due to the nature of the disease and the goal of the intervention, this type of endoprosthesis is developed and made according to the morphological characteristics of the specific patient. The endoprosthesis development process includes conceptualization based on diagnostic images, design using CAD software systems, and preparation for manufacturing. Due to the nature of the product and the manufacturing process, endoprostheses are designed according to the patient’s measurements with verification using CAE software systems. The paper describes the procedure of developing “total humerus” endoprostheses for a specific patient with the application of the most modern software systems for product development.
