Structural Synthesis of the Plastic Cup Stacking Machine Mechanism – Application of the Intermittent Motion Mechanisms

Maja ČAVIĆ, Milan RACKOV, Milan KOSTIĆ

Structural synthesis of the plastic cup stacking ma¬chine mechanism is presented in this paper with the motive to improve an existing design. Based on the set requirements, new solution is proposed – complex mechanism, which facilitates on-line change of kinematic parameters of the machine working elements. It consists of quick-return and transmission-gear mechanism which transform continuous rotation of the motor into the intermittent motion of the machine working elements – panels. Position, velocity and acceleration kinematic parameters of the complex mechanism are deter¬mined. Proposed solution is reliable, flexible and efficient, it has high positioning accuracy as well as high repeatability of the output links motion. For different kinematic parameters of the machine working elements, motor maintains same working regime which is highly preferable.

The Importance of an Autonomous Transport that Avoid Collisions in an Industrial Field

Daniel KATZ BONELLO, Yuzo IANO, Umberto BONELLO NETO

This work refers to the study and development of Mechatronic’s area, searching for an autonomous locomotion system that can be used in various industrial sectors without the risk of collisions on work. This project was based on research: bibliographical and of field of the Exploratory type, using sampling. We obtained positive results with the applications of the sensors, microcontrollers, transistors and more.

Computationally Intelligent Heating Controller Optimization

Žarko ĆOJBAŠIĆ, Milan RISTANOVIĆ, Nedeljko DUČIĆ, Stefan SAVIĆ, Nemanja MARKOVIĆ

Computationally intelligent optimization of the controller in a building radiator heating system performed by several metaheuristic methods has been considered in this paper. Presented results compare conventional controller tuning using integral of time absolute error criterion and six metaheuristic methods – Simulated Annealing (SA), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Genetic Algorithm (GA), reported in our previous research, and by Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) and Bat Algorithm (BA) presented in this paper. Performance of the tuned heating controller has been tested for the typical winter day in the building geographical region. General conclusions are presented confirming that metaheuristic computationally intelligent optimization of thermal controllers is a feasible concept with strong potentials in providing improved performance, comfort and energy efficiency.

IoT Application Perspectives in Higher Education

Dejan ARSENIJEVIĆ, Stevan STANKOVSKI, Gordana OSTOJIĆ, Igor BARANOVSKI, Dragana OROS

In the next decade a significant influence of IoT technologies over all areas of human society is expected. The lessons learned and the development of IT infrastructure will enable IoT application in a number of new areas that could result with the significant cost reduction and improved life conditions. Like other organizations that must manage the significant capital assets required to support their research, teaching, and service missions, universities also can benefit by including IoT in their development strategy. IoT application at university campuses is becoming ever wider all around the world and various solutions can be found in literature. This paper discusses visions of industrial and academic leaders, sumerises them and makes conclusions concerning the ways of IoT influence and impact on higher education evolution.

RFID Based System Usage in Process of Liquid Product Tracking

Vladimir TODOROVIĆ, Milovan LAZAREVIĆ

Primary aim of this paper is to present the concept to which it is possible to provide traceability of liquid products (fruit juices) which should result in increase of their quality and enhance the competitiveness of final products. Beside the requirements of the state customs regarding fulfillment of the regulations on food safety this concept emphasizes the ability to made information about the products to the customers available, as the most important in this chain. The question is how to achieve full traceability of agricultural products in the appropriate places starting with grow all the way to the sales point. This paper proposes the concept of application of RFID based system in an effort to achieve this goal. As an example of products to show this model, the paper will use fruit juices transported in aseptic bags.
